Weingut Bick Pinot Noir

Weingut Bick : Pinot Noir
Grape: Pinot Noir
Village: Würenlos
AOC: Aargau
Vintage: 2016

Weingut Bick is located in the Limmat valley in Aargau. Their vineyards are south facing, favoring the ripening of the grapes. The soils are rich in minerals once deposited by the Linth Glacier. Peter and Maja Wanner head the estate and produce annually 10'000 bottles of white, red and sparkling wines!

Their Pinot Noir is easy drinking and fresh, offering mineral depth and intense expression of red and black fruits. The finish is long and airy. A Swiss German wine that breathes Burgundy!

For all who like Swiss-German Pinot Noirs: You will love this one for its ripe black fruit, well-structured tannins and freshness. It meets all expectations with its elegant bouquet and its freshness.

For all who do not like Swiss German Pinot Noirs: there are examples with too pronounced barrel notes, which is not the case here. Very well balanced, this Pinot Noir expresses fruit and minerality beautifully.

When to drink: Perfect already today, this wine will develop tertiary notes of undergrowth, mushrooms and leather over the next 3 years. Enjoy it now for its fruit or wait until it has fully developed its complexity.

Food pairing: This versatile red wine goes well as an aperitif with a cold meat platter, and a main course with white meat such as a nice chicken or a veal loin with mushrooms.
